Julon Derivatives, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Arise mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Email Address: When you sign up for our waitlist or create an account, we collect your email address to send you updates and communications about Arise.
- Voice Data: The App uses voice recognition to detect when you speak your morning intention. Voice processing occurs on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt in to share recordings for service improvement.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how the App is used and to improve our service. This data does not personally identify you.
- Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type and operating system version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Send you updates, notifications, and promotional communications (you can opt out at any time)
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
- Comply with legal obligations
AI-Powered Personalization
Arise offers personalized morning prompts powered by artificial intelligence. When you enable AI personalization, we send certain information to OpenAI, our AI service provider, to generate prompts tailored to you. This includes:
- Your spiritual or faith preferences (tradition, practice level)
- Your selected focus areas (e.g., gratitude, peace, strength)
- General life context you've shared (life stage, current season)
- Your prompt feedback (likes/dislikes) to improve recommendations
What we DO NOT send:
- Your name or email address
- Your voice recordings
- Your journal entries
How this data is handled:
- OpenAI processes this data solely to generate your prompts
- OpenAI does not use your data to train their models (per our API agreement)
- We do not sell this data or use it for advertising
- You can disable AI personalization at any time in Privacy settings
- When disabled, you'll receive standard prompts with no data sent to OpenAI

Data Storage and Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your personal data is stored on secure servers and we use industry-standard encryption for data transmission.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI - AI prompt generation (when personalization is enabled)
- Supabase - Secure data storage and authentication
- RevenueCat - Subscription management
- Apple - Sign in with Apple authentication
- Loops - Email delivery for waitlist and product updates (email address only; no in-app activity is shared)
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Sharing With Other Users
Arise lets you share certain content with people you choose, by generating a link that you send to them over your device's text messaging (SMS) or other messaging apps. When you use this feature, we store:
- Your display name as it appears in the App, so the recipient can see who sent the prompt, message, or challenge.
- The content you wrote (a morning prompt, a personal message, or a challenge invitation) until it is either attached to the recipient's alarm, declined, or expired.
- A unique link code we generate so the recipient's tap on your text message resolves to the right item. We do not see, store, or have access to the phone numbers or messaging apps you use to send the link — those stay with your device's messaging app.
Personal-message bodies are sealed until the recipient dismisses their alarm. We do not read or process these messages for advertising. You can cancel a pending share at any time from the App; cancelled or expired shares are no longer attachable. Recipients can decline anything sent to them, and either party can stop using the share feature at will.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
